Samsung is upping its game as it is competing Apple, the most valuable brand of 2017. Seems like 2018 would be a perfect year for Samsung to dominate the smart technology business.
Apple jumped two steps ahead of Samsung this year when they unveiled the brand new iPhone X. While Samsung launched its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones this year, Apple launched the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, jumped straight to iPhone 10 skipping the iPhone 9, whose most unique feature was its bezel less screen. Other than that, the phone doesn’t have anything new or exciting to offer.
Now, Samsung is all set to make the iPhone X look like an out-dated device with its new Galaxy X smartphone. Samsung already beat the iPhone X at its bezel less game even before it was released. Get this, it had already put out bezel less smartphones in the market and had a higher screen-to-body ratio. With its trapezoidal bezel at the top, iPhone X has an 82.9% screen-to-body ration while the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ stand at 83.6% and 84% respectively.
So, the Galaxy X won’t be competing with the iPhone X in features that are already in the market. It seems Samsung to bring something altogether different. Before now the ‘fold-able’ device had just been a concept that Samsung never confirmed but turns out, the smartphone could be coming sooner than we expected. With the Galaxy X, Samsung aims to take an OLED screen and make it bend in half. Amazing, isn’t it?
According to a few leaks reported by Forbes, Samsung is already making Bluetooth and radio registrations, steps companies take when a device is close to launching. Some rumors suggest the device has already been registered in South Korea.
While the Galaxy X will most definitely steal the limelight from the Galaxy S9, it is quite clear the company will do anything outstanding in comparison to Apple.
